Facial Thread Vein Treatment
The Treatment
Facial thread veins can develop thorough age, exposure to the sun, excess alcohol, pregnancy and injury for example. The veins typically occur on the nose, cheeks and top lip. The red veins are treated by a mild electrical current being passed down a fine needle. The treatment will take 30 minutes. Usually a course of treatments will be needed.
Time required for the appointment: 45 minutes.
When will I see results?
The red veins take about 4-6 weeks to disappear. They will initially appear to be darker but will then fade and disappear.
Are there any side effects?
There will be immediate reddening to the area treated but this will be managed by cold compresses. This should subside within 4-6 hours. There may be some minor scabbing in the following weeks and these scabs should be left to heal naturally.
Does the procedure hurt?
It can cause mild discomfort particularly around the nostrils. Local anaesthetic will be applied prior to the peel.
The important bit!
A no obligation free consultation will be carried out prior to the procedure and risks and side effects will be discussed. This procedure is not suitable for pregnant and breast-feeding women.
