Excessive Sweat Treatment
The Treatment
Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating. Botox is injected under the skin by using multiple injection sites approx. 2cm apart. The Botox blocks the action of a chemical messenger which in turn stops the glands producing sweat.
Time required for the appointment: 60 minutes.
What areas can be treated?
Underarms, hands, feet and groin.
How long does it take to work?
Most customers report a reduction in sweating from 7 days onwards.
Are there any side effects?
The armpits can feel sore immediately after treatment but this should subside within a few hours.
Does the procedure hurt?
Mild discomfort can be felt but this will be alleviated by the application of local anaesthetic cream.
